Rating: PG
Disclaimer: SGA and its characters don't belong to me.

So I graduated from my library program on Thursday, hurray! I'm glad that I'm done, although it's a little strange that for the first time in about twenty years, I won't be going back to school in September. Right now I'm hovering in a weird limbo where I'm working part-time and looking for a full-time job, but it still feels like just another summer between semesters.

Also, the author reveals for [community profile] sga_genficathon have gone live, and so here's the story that I wrote.

Title: A Question of Endurance
Genre: Humor
Prompt: Don’t Look Now
Word Count: 2,570
Rating: PG
Warnings: None
Summary: “The Irtinani are a very cautious people. They do not easily welcome visitors to their world, and the rituals necessary to receive permission to travel there are – onerous.”

Words: 543
Summary: “Freaking out?” Ronon said, shifting closer again and kissing the inside of Teyla’s thigh. “Still?”

Final Happy Thing: McDonald's fries, eaten out of a bag on the subway. Mmmm, salt and grease. I so seldom eat McDonald's food these days that when I do have some, it's a treat instead of just bad food.

So I finally finished the meme. It only took me three months! :D I'm kind of bogged down with assignments right now, and yet that just means more procrastination fic to write!

Also, I've started reading Watchmen, because I always like to have read the book before I see the movie, and the movie looks pretty damn cool. My older-by-a-year cousin lent it to me with his mom looking on.

AUNT: Wow, I would have thought you two were too old for comic books now.
COUSIN AND I: *expressions of disbelief*
ME: Blasphemy!
COUSIN: You're never too old for comic books!
ME: Also, it's a graphic novel!
COUSIN: *points* Yes! It won prizes!
AUNT: *laughs at us*

Two more fics written for [livejournal.com profile] show_goes_on:

Title: Each Coming Night
Pairing: John/Rodney/Ronon/Teyla
Rating: PG-13
Words: 2189
Summary: Written for the prompt: John/Rodney/Ronon/Teyla, cold (warm them up)
A/N: The title is from an Iron and Wine song. And I had Rodney make a Firefly reference.

Also, I wrote a fic for the post-SGA fest, [livejournal.com profile] show_goes_on.

Happy Thing: I had delicious leftover samosas, pork, and baked potato wedges today for dinner. A more general happy thing was that my holidays were pretty awesome. How about yours?

Here's the fic I wrote for [livejournal.com profile] sga_santa:

Title: Like Catching Sunlight in a Jar
Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] telesilla
Pairing: John/Rodney/Ronon/Teyla
Rating: NC-17, just to be safe
Summary: Even though John had been in the room at the time, he was still not entirely clear on how Teyla had managed to convince Woolsey to let them go on what was essentially a weekend getaway, to a music festival no less.
Spoilers: Spoilers for everything up to and including Remnants, 5x15.
Author's notes: The title comes from the wonderful song, Sunlight in a Jar, by the Lucksmiths. It served as inspiration for this story. This story is an AU where the team got together sometime between Quarantine and The Kindred.

Here's the fic I wrote for the [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic Team Challenge.

Title: Sings the Tune Without the Words
Rating: PG
Characters: Gen, Teyla
Spoilers: AU ending for Inquisition, 5x13
Words: 3155
Summary: On the third day, an emissary from the Coalition arrives in Atlantis and says, there has been a trial. And the accused have been found guilty, and they have been punished.
Author's notes: This is possibly the first chapter of a much longer story that I might someday write, dealing with the consequences of Inquisition if the team had actually been sentenced and punished. The punishment here isn't quite the same as the one that was described in the episode, however. Also, I might never actually write the rest of this story, so don't read if that would really bother you. The title is from an Emily Dickinson poem.

I wrote a short entry for the IJ Porn Battle, which was fun. I'm trying to beef up my porn writing skills for the unfinished OT4 fic that is languishing away on my computer, along with a ridiculous number of other half-written fics. Unfortunately, it looks as though my new program at U of T is going to be keeping me busy for a while, so my WIPs will have to wait a little longer.

The prompt was John/Ronon/Rodney/Teyla, adornment, and it's here.

I also posted a fic for the sga_flashfic Comfort Challenge:

Title: And Let Us Love
Pairing: Mehra/Porter
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: Whispers 5x07
Word Count: 1,383
Summary: “So. You all done flirting with Doctor Xerox?”
A/N: The title of the story comes from the first line of Catullus's Poem 5.

Title: Five Times Meredith McKay Came Out
Pairing: Mostly gen, minor McKay/OC, McKay/Brown. Genderswap AU.
Rating: PG
Words: 4134
Summary: You can't change who you are.
Author's Note: Short version - this story takes place in an AU where McKay and Sheppard have always been women. Longer version - this is basically a slashy sidebar to my Storm Damage AU. So, it's a slash AU of a genderswap AU. Yes. I know.

Author: ceitie
Prompt: Weather or Elements
Word Count: 3303

Spoilers: Minor for Outcast, general season 4 spoilers
Summary: “I must agree with John,” Teyla said. “In fact, I can think of at least two dozen missions that are objectively much worse than this one.”

Here's the fic I wrote for the [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic Not Dead Yet challenge.

Title: Past Prologue
Author: Ceitie
Characters: Gen AU. John, Radek.
Rating: PG-13 for language and horror.
Spoilers: Outcast
Words: 1,710
Summary: “No,” Radek answered, sighing. “Atlantis, Ontario, actually. You lived there for two years when you were a child. Do you remember?”
Author's Notes: My title is stolen from Shakespeare, and the plot of this AU is obviously stolen from a rather famous novel by Stephen King. The thought of rewriting the entire story as an AU makes me quail though, so this is just the beginning of that hypothetical AU. Which I'm not writing. Oh, and Stargate: Atlantis doesn't belong to me either.

Author: [livejournal.com profile] ceitie
Pairing: John/Rodney/Ronon/Teyla
Rating: NC-17
Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] rysler
Summary: “Oh, are they kidding? This is their orgy room?”
Author’s note: So these characters and this universe are definitely not mine. The title comes from a quote from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Pairing: Emmagan/McKay/Sheppard, gen/preslash
Rating: PG-13, for language
Words: 1,450

A/N: This was written for the [livejournal.com profile] sga_genderfuck Femslashed Challenge, and takes place in the same genderswitch universe as Storm Damage and Five Times Aiden Ford (Almost) Wished He Was on a Different Team, where Sheppard and McKay have always been women. The title is from W.H. Auden's poem, Lullaby.

So, in case no one's mentioned it, drinking is bad, mmkay? I rediscovered this fact a couple of weeks ago. Because drinking causes memory loss, which leads to embarrassing revelations the morning after which may include having kissed two different people. On the same night. *facepalm*

Moving on to slightly more memorable kisses, I posted two ficlets to the [livejournal.com profile] mcsmooch community: Courage and its sequel Dreamcatcher.

Author: Ceitie
Category: Gen AU

Rating: PG-13

A/N: Okay, I lied about finishing my WIP first. This is a companion piece to Storm Damage, and takes place in the same genderswitch universe where Sheppard and McKay are women. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] blacknoise for being a great beta!
