Middle of the week, and two more days of classes til I'm on my way to Ottawa! I'm all excited, and I've still got so much stuff to do: buy margarita mix, finish notes on a history article, get work done on a essay that's due Tuesday, get something for Margot's birthday...
Turns out that conjugating Spanish verbs is much easier than French verbs, thank God, and on about the same level as German ones. Yo hablo espanol! Caramba! Too bad this keyboard doesn't let me use those little upside down exclamation marks.
I've been walking around all day snickering at a little moment of fanfic that's gotten itself irreversible lodged it my head. Unfortunately, this results in many slightly freaked-out looks from the students that passed by the weirdo who was grinning hugely and chuckling to herself for no discernible reason.
Random Moment of Fanfic: At this point in the tape I found out who'd given Jack the black eye. Was gratified to discover it was me. Close inspection of security tape revealed an image of myself and Jack standing in the rain outside the observatory door and Jack attempting to 'apologise' by sticking his tongue down my throat. I watched the kiss for its duration, amazed to discover that we were more or less making the rain sizzle. I saw myself murmur something to Jack, who smiled, then I took a step back, lined it up and knocked him on his lilywhite USAF ass with a perfect 18 inch right hook I'd learned from Sam. Jack was lying face down in the mud, whereupon Sam came out of the observatory holding a roll of duct tape, nudged him overzealously in the butt with her muddy boot and taped his mouth shut. She was heard to murmur; "There goes my career," as she dragged him indoors.

0340 – Have just managed to isolate the sound on the videotape. Now know what I whispered to Jack in the rain. My exact words were; "Close your eyes, and open your mouth." Then I punched him in the face. HAHAHAHAH! Vengeance is mine! I rule!

End of Random Moment of Fanfic
Admittedly, that makes very little sense unless the context is understood, but trust me - comedy gold. If you'd like to understand the context, and don't mind reading Stargate SG1 slash, here's the link, highly recommended: http://www.versaphile.com/anais/January.shtml

I miss readins fics. I used to print them out and read them in class throughout the day. I should start doing that again. XD
